Weekly Gas Storage: Inventories increase by 21 Bcf

Natural Gas Inventories as of August 2, 2024

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a net increase of 21 Bcf as of August 2, 2024.

Working gas in storage was 3,270 Bcf as of Friday, August 9, 2024, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 21 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 248 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 424 Bcf above the five-year average of 2,846 Bcf.

At 3,270 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
