Canadian numbers up by ten
This week’s Baker Hughes rig count shows that U.S. numbers declined by four, resulting in the total count falling to 942. Compared to this time last year, numbers are down 102.
Canada is up compared to last week with a total count of 137, representing an increase of 10 rigs. Compared to this time last year, its total is down by 86.
Breakdown by region
Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, one experienced an increase in rigs this week:
- Haynesville is at 52, up one from last week.
On the other hand, three regions experienced a decrease:
- Cana Woodford is at 48, down one from last week.
- Granite Wash is at two, down two from last week.
- Permian is at 442, down one from last week.
All other regions saw no net change in active rig count.
