For Immediate Release – STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado – January 26, 2023 – Three Crown Petroleum (“Three Crown” or the “Company”) today provided a drilling update of the Falcon Prospect in Converse County, Wyoming.
The Company spud the prospective Patterson 3H, a 1.35 mile horizontal well targeting the Niobrara formation on November 24, 2022 that reached a total vertical depth of 12,600 feet and finished drilling the horizontal Niobrara leg of the well on December 25, 2022.
Three Crown plans to drill a well targeting the Shannon Formation off the same pad in the first half of 2023. After drilling the Shannon well, Three Crown is scheduled to complete both the Niobrara and Shannon wells and place the wells on production in the first half of 2023. The Bridger oil pipeline and the Mirage gas line are located adjacent to the well pad, providing immediate offtake capacity. The well is located on the Company’s Falcon Prospect in the prolific Powder River Basin in Converse County, Wyoming.
Three Crown’s well is flanked by established operators including WRC Energy (formerly Wold Oil Properties), Continental Resources, Impact Exploration, and Northwoods Energy. The nearby Niobrara wells have been highly productive with cumulative production of more than 250 Mboe per well in the first twenty-four months and EUR’s of 600 Mboe over the life of the wells, with the offsetting Tuesday Draw Well in 38-74 (WRC Energy) having produced approximately 300 Mboe to date from the Shannon formation.
