EMEX will reveal how major energy users in the public sector such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew or the Department of Energy & Climate Change have successfully deployed the Mayor of London's award-winning scheme RE:FIT which provides a commercial model for public bodies wishing to achieve substantial financial cost savings, improve the energy performance of their buildings and reduce their CO2 footprint.

Theatre three will cover the issues of Energy Management Solutions, and will host the Private sector awards run by the EMA on Wednesday 11 November and the Public Sector Sustainability Award ceremony run by the IPSEM (Institute of Public Sector Estates Management) on Thursday 12th November.
Theatre four will be dedicated to Energy Use in the Built Environment in partnership with BIFM and sponsored by EDF Energy. By the time EMEX opens its' doors in November, organisations will have only 3 weeks to ascertain whether they are affected by the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and until end of January to carry out an assessment.
Jo Scully, Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) Project Manager at The Environment Agency will be at EMEX all day to discuss ESOS progress, take FAQs from visitors and present the second phase with the implementation of all the measures identified during the compulsory assessment.
EMEX will also look at Energy and Facilities Management with the launch of the 40:20:40 Ratio initiative to recognise the greater role behaviour change should play into the mix of energy efficiency measures.
