OPEC crude basket rises to $39.88

Vienna, Apr 27 (EFE).- The basket of crude oil used as a benchmark indicator by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC, rose to $39.88, the OPEC Secretariat said on Wednesday.

OPEC said that the price of its basket, which includes 13 varieties of crude, increased by $0.48 on Tuesday, compared with the closing price of the previous session.

The June delivery of Brent crude opened at $46.24 a barrel at the start of Wednesday's trading on the futures market, an increase of 1.13 percent from the previous session's close. EFE
