60 Natural Gas Pipeline Inspectors Needed
Energy Experts International is currently seeking to fill multiple job openings for Natural Gas Pipeline Inspectors with journeyman experience. The work location will be in Northern and Central California and is expected to start in June 2016 time period. Applications will CLOSE by Thursday, April 14, 2016. The project is expected to be at least 6 months with a strong possibility of a long term extension.
Job Description:
• Oversight of transmission and distribution of construction projects involving steel or plastic pipe
• Experience with welding inspection and distribution projects
• Performing visual inspections of welds and piping material
• Tracking and documenting welds and piping materials
• Overseeing pipe strength tests, including hydrostatic test procedures
Desired Experience:
• Depending on the work, may be required to possess or obtain the following certifications: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in API 1104 certification, National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Level 1 Certification,
• 4 to 7 years of experience as a Construction/Utility Inspector
• Minimum 3 years of welding inspection experience on gas transmission or distribution projects
Other Attributes:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word/Excel and reading PDF documents
• Must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• First Aid, CPR, and OSHA 30 for Construction also preferred
Expectations:
You will need to possess a valid driver’s license and have a high school diploma. Clear background and drug test are required. In addition, you will be required to take and pass the Operator Qualification test on the required covered tasks if you are selected as an inspector, along with other certification requirements.
