innogy consulting Expands Energy Consulting Practice in U.S.

BOSTON

Energy Industry Veteran Consultant, Glenn R. George, Ph.D., Joins
innogy consulting as U.S. Founding Partner

innogy consulting, a leading global energy-focused management consulting
firm announced today the arrival of Dr. Glenn George, a prominent
advisor to the global energy and utility sectors, as Founding Partner of
its U.S. subsidiary. According to Dr. Klaus Grellman, Managing Director
of innogy consulting, “The U.S. energy market is the largest and most
dynamic in the world. Strengthening our presence in North America is
central to innogy consulting’s strategy for future growth. Glenn’s
joining the firm is an important milestone in strengthening our presence
in the U.S.” Oliver Riedel, Managing Director of innogy consulting U.S.,
echoes this sentiment: “innogy consulting has helped catalyze, shape,
and deliver the ongoing energy transformation across Europe and the
Middle East. Glenn’s arrival will help cement the same kind of
capabilities in the North American market.”

“I'm delighted to join innogy consulting as the first Founding Partner
in the United States,” according to George. “It’s the culmination of
three decades of work in the global energy sector, some two-thirds of
which I've spent as a consultant to the industry, across the entire
value chain. My professional focus in recent years has been on helping
utility companies transform themselves into greener, more
customer-focused, and technology-enabled organizations—providing the
strategic, transactional, regulatory, dispute-related, and operational
support they need along the way. innogy consulting is the ideal platform
for delivering this kind of work.” Among other roles, he has served as a
Managing Director with NERA Economic Consulting, part of the Oliver
Wyman Group; a partner in the advisory practice of KPMG; and co-head of
the global energy group at Nomura Securities, at the time the largest
investment bank in the world, with responsibility for a variety of
energy transactions. Glenn will be based in innogy consulting’s Boston
office, providing regular support to clients in New York City,
Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Glenn holds bachelor’s and
master’s degrees from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from Harvard
University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the District of
Columbia.

innogy consulting first entered the U.S. market in late 2017. The
company is bringing its expertise and experience learned in Europe to
U.S. utilities needing to innovate and adapt in the changing energy
landscape. George’s addition represents a major milestone in U.S.
growth. innogy consulting’s portfolio comprises large-scale strategy
assignments for grid and infrastructure, retail, and renewable clients
across borders, including managing the 2nd largest IPO in
Germany’s history.
