Michael Rohleder, President of GMX Resources (GMXR), presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Gas Conference® 17. GMX Resources is an E&P Company with development acreage in two oil resource plays, the Williston Basin (North Dakota/Montana) and the DJ Basin (Wyoming), targeting the Bakken/Sanish, Three Forks and Niobrara Formations, respectively. The company also operates in two natural gas/liquids rich resource plays, the Haynesville/Bossier Formation and the Cotton Valley Sand Formation.
During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:
- What direction do you predict the third quarter numbers to go and why?
- When you look at pre-drill AFE costs versus your post-drill, where are you falling and is there any difference between the 2011 and 2012 results?
- Qualitatively, do you feel like there has been a learning curve? Are you more confident now that your post-drill costs are going to be closer to, if not less, than your pre-drill estimates?
- Do you see a large price differential between the price per barrel you’re getting for your operated versus your non-operated properties?
- Do you have a time or date which you’re expecting to see the offers for East Texas properties?
- Are there any transactional comps we can look at to get a sense of the range of the market?
- Where do you expect your production to end this year? Where would you like to see it end next year?
- On the Niobrara, what is your average acreage cost there? Who is in the surrounding areas?
- Do you know if the Bill Barrett and Fidelity wells were targeting the Niobrara?
