Approach Resources: we believe the Wolfcamp shale holds 45 billion barrels of oil
At its recent 2017 The Oil & Gas Conference®, EnerCom’s Oil & Gas 360® conducted an exclusive video interview with Permian producer Approach Resources (ticker: AREX) President & Chief Operating Officer Qingming Yang.
The average shale play formation is approximately 300 feet in thickness. In combination, the Wolfcamp A/B/C benches are approximately 1,000 to 1,200 feet in thickness. Approach Resources’ current focus is on the A, B and C benches using pad drilling and stacked wellbores in the Permian basin. Approach has a multi-year inventory of identified drilling locations in the Wolfcamp shale oil resource play.
