Larry D. Pinkston, president and CEO of Unit Corporation, (ticker: UNT) presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Gas Conference® 22.

Unit Corporation is a Tulsa, OK based oil and gas company with three primary subsidiaries, Unit Drilling Company, Unit Petroleum Company, and Superior Pipeline Company.

During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:

  • You said that your drilling day rates seem to have bottomed out, where are you at the staffing on the rigs?
  • Regarding CAPEX, what percentage is devoted to drilling operations as opposed to other things?
  • How is the CAPEX outlook for the midstream side?
  • You said that you are excited in terms of different plays, what has played a role in it? Is it the availability of technology or lack of competition that has made all this possible?
  • Over time drilling time has come down, what about the time from spud to flow?
  • What is the difference in various rigs or is it a differentiation in the rig crews?
  • Could you compare the spot rates for the Boss and ACR rigs?
  • What are your thoughts on the Permian Basin?
  • Propane prices have come down in the US, are you seeing that in the E&P business? Has this generated any thoughts on any additional investment?
