Alta Mesa Resources, Inc. is a new company that was announced on August 16, 2017 that will combine Silver Run Acquisition Corporation II, Kingfisher Midstream, LLC and Alta Mesa Holdings, LP. The company has its asset base concentrated in the core of the STACK oil play. The transaction, which integrates existing upstream and midstream assets, is managed by an experienced executive team.
STACK development
According to the company’s January 2018 investor presentation, the company has ~130,000 highly contiguous net acres. Additionally, the Kingfisher Midstream (KFM) assets provide infrastructure flow assurance, de-risking production growth. The company’s KFM 60 MMcf/d plant is currently at capacity, but Alta Mesa said that a 200 MMcf/d expansion is being commissioned and is under budget.
The company utilizes a scalable drilling team that manages a six-rig program, delivering >2 wells per month, per rig. A geoscience team applies a full suite of tools, including 3D seismic and geosteering to optimize development.
From 2012-2017 Alta Mesa drilled over 240+ horizontal STACK wells across its Kingfisher acreage.
