Drexel Hamilton Introduces Energy Industry Research Team

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Energy Weekly News -- Drexel Hamilton, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Broker-Dealer, announced that it has formed an energy industry research team. The team of Senior Equity Research Analysts Bob Christensen and John Ragozzino will report to Barry Sine, Managing Director of Equity Research. Christensen and Ragozzino are recommending stocks and MLPs in the natural gas, oil, refinery and pipeline segments of the industry.

"We believe the U.S. energy industry is poised to rebound, making it a natural time to establish and strengthen our energy practice," said Jim Cahill, President of Drexel Hamilton. "Bob and John are industry veterans with 45 years of combined experience, making them the ideal team to provide clients with sophisticated industry insights and guidance."

With 30 years of industry experience, Christensen joined Drexel Hamilton in January 2016 covering independent U.S. oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) companies for the firm's research department. Beyond his sell side research analyst career, Christensen worked in the energy industry with Texaco Inc. as well as a U.S. oil service company, with which he was based in Dubai for several years. He has developed a reputation for his macro-views and supply and demand work on North American natural gas and world oil. Christensen's petroleum geology background has helped him make strong, early and differentiated company calls within specific oil and natural gas plays. Christensen has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Finance and Accounting and a BA from Princeton University in Geology.

Ragozzino joined Drexel Hamilton in December 2015 with nearly 15 years of institutional equity research experience. His coverage focus is on the MLP sector, including traditional midstream energy infrastructure as well as companies engaged in E&P, oilfield services, fuel refining and distribution and alternative energy. For the last 10 years, Ragozzino has expanded his expertise across the energy value chain while working on energy market research teams at highly regarded firms including Wells Fargo and RBC Capital Markets. Ragozzino received a BA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a CFA charter-holder.

Sine added, "Bob and John have incredibly strong reputations in energy research. From Bob's geology background and work in the energy industry to John's diverse experience across the energy sector, their expertise will undoubtedly help our team and clients make better informed, more strategic investment decisions."

Drexel Hamilton's steadily growing research team supports four core industries: Technology/Media/Telecom, Aerospace and Defense, Energy and Financial Services.
