Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, two regions saw an increase this week; the DJ-Niobrara basin saw an increase of 1 rig this week, and the Haynesville 2 rigs from 51 to 53.
Meanwhile, 3 regions experienced a decrease this week:
- The Cana Woodford is at 27, down 1 from last week.
- The Marcellus is at 36, down 1 from last week.
- The Permian is at 405, down 3 from last week.
All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
