Smart Building Technology Offered to Co-Op Members to Maximize Energy
Savings
GridPoint announced today a partnership with the Smart Energy Co-Op
(SECO), a voluntary and member-directed organization that uses its
membership volume to help business owners secure the benefits of new
energy technologies at the lowest possible cost and risk. SECO, which
was recently launched in Maryland and will soon expand to additional
states, acts as an energy advisor to their customers and helps them
build programs to achieve 30% savings per year within 90 days. SECO
customers that implement GridPoint’s solution will gain automated
management of their energy consumption through on-site hardware,
cloud-based tools, and analytics. The EMS technology provides critical
insights into equipment health and performance enabling customers to
automate control of their HVAC and lighting schedules and troubleshoot
equipment issues remotely. The data is collected in real-time, and can
be visualized and over a period of time, so customers can learn more
about their energy patterns and adapt operations to maximize savings.
GridPoint, a smart buildings technology leader, provides visibility into
facility operations in order to automate and control sites, lower energy
spend, and proactively manage day-to-day operations. Under the terms of
their partnership, GridPoint and SECO will deploy, manage, and service
GridPoint’s EMS solution which accommodates a majority of commercial
buildings, requires no capital outlay from SECO Members, and delivers
positive cash-flow from day one.
“GridPoint’s smart buildings technology aligns perfectly into our energy
services offering due to its simplicity, zero up-front costs, and
ability to deliver hard savings immediately,” says Brent Hollenbeck,
SECO CEO. “We are excited to include GridPoint’s EMS as a part of SECO’s
holistic approach to smart energy solutions.”
“We increasingly see commercial customers looking for a simple, one-stop
shop for energy efficiency and renewable energy options. The Smart
Energy Co-Op provides this in an innovative way by packaging new energy
technologies, such as LED lights, solar and energy management systems to
create a comprehensive energy solution. We are excited to begin
delivering our solution to SECO customers within the State of Maryland,
and nationwide as they continue to grow,” says Jason Narod, VP of
Strategic Partnerships at GridPoint.
About Smart Energy Co-Op
High-efficiency LEDs, solar panels, electric vehicles, battery storage
and “smart” energy management systems can deliver savings, resiliency
and control to energy consumers. However, selecting, financing and
deploying these new technologies can be complicated. The Smart Energy
Co-Op is a voluntary, member-directed organization that helps home and
business owners secure the benefits of new energy technologies at the
lowest possible cost and risk. Membership is free and carries no
obligation. The Smart Energy Co-Op leverages the volume of its
membership to deliver a comprehensive suite of next-generation energy
services more simply, at lower risk and at lower cost than could be
achieved independently. Combined, these new energy services can
dramatically lower energy costs, significantly increase economic
competitiveness and support new job creation. To learn more, visit www.us-seco.io/md
